Pay Range: $33 - $40 per hour
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide applied behavior analysis evaluation and consultation to clients. They will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining records and reports pertaining to client evaluations and treatment plans.
To be successful in this role, a candidate will need to display a compassionate nature, empathy, and discretion in their work. The position will require excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, supervisors, and colleagues. Prior experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
*Use available resources to select the appropriate assessment for a learner and complete all required components for the client’s funding source in time for proper review.
*Administer assessments including but not limited to VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Essential for Living, Functional Assessments, and Functional Analysis
*Develop reports including but not limited to functional behavior assessments, individual treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and discharge summaries.
*Utilize behavioral skills training to teach direct care staff the skills needed for the client’s program. Monitor progress regularly via visual analysis and make program changes when indicated.
*Train and supervise behavior technicians in the implementation of ABA procedures and interventions
*Develop individualized programming based on the needs of the client as well as the caregiver. Client service locations may be in a clinical, home, community, and/or school setting.
*Demonstrate how new and/or challenging programs should be implemented
*Provide staff with feedback regarding data collection to ensure staff accuracy in recording
*Evaluate and graph data for program analysis and progress weekly, at a minimum
*Collect data as needed including interobserver agreement (IOA)
*Complete teaching procedure changes needed to maximize client progress
*Provide training to staff and caregivers on behavior analytic concepts and procedures. Training will be individualized based on caregiver and/or staff priorities and needs.
*Coordinate with other professionals to provide collaborative treatment
*Instruct, motivate, and assist clients to learn and improve functional activities through provision of direct services and implementation of the client’s individualized treatment plan, as assigned
*Follow company policies and requirements set forth by the BACB.
*Provide adequate monthly supervision to RBT/BTs based on clinical recommendations
*Collaborate with Clinical Director to ensure all RBTs providing services on cases are meeting supervision requirements based on the BACB requirements
*Meet billable hours productivity requirement, as assigned by supervisor
*Administer RBT initial and renewal competencies, as needed
*Utilize Central Reach for learning trees, clinical documentation, and data collection
*Utilize HIPAA compliant company drive on company-issued device for all client information
*Complete RBT/BT performance evaluations per designated frequency
*Maintain communication with clinical and administrative staff via email, internal communication platforms and systems, and video/audio conferences
*Maintain communication with caregivers and other stakeholders regarding client progress and plan of care
*If qualified per the BACB and approved by supervisor, provide supervised fieldwork experience to staff members who are seeking a BCBA credential
*Complete session notes, timesheets, and administrative tasks including conversion of billing appointments per company protocols and submit within the designated time frame.
*Attend team meetings and on-going trainings, as necessary
*Remain current and increase knowledge of best practices and advances in the field of ABA
*Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
*Have a minimum of 2 clients
Education & Experience Requirements:
*Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
*Minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting, preferred
*Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing with the BACB, required
*Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) practices and of the BACB Ethical Code, with strict adherence to these policies
*Valid CPR certification and other medical training requirements as specified by payors (or ability to obtain)
Additional Job Requirements:
*Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and/or governmental regulations
*Ability to read and write detail-oriented session notes, behavior plans, and treatment reports
*Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisory staff members, caregivers, and others
*Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
*Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions
*Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently from a seated position (on the floor or in a chair) to a standing position
*Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time on your feet as well as the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion
*Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Strong interpersonal skills
